First rock climbing festival held at Skaha Bluffs Provincial Park – Okanagan

Rock climbers at Skaha Bluffs Provincial Park, in Penticton, B.C, raised cash for his or her Park Watch Program, throughout a two-day competition stuffed with video games, climbing, and leisure.

This was the first-ever Skaha Climbers Competition and it turned out to be a well-liked affair.

And since then we’ve had one break-in on this park and the large profit is we’ve built-in folks with boundaries into our neighborhood and provided 1000’s of hours of employment for them,” stated Rybak.

“After we had the break-ins we misplaced tourism visits by over 40 per cent.”

This competition can be anticipated to spice up tourism within the Okanagan-Similkameen space, because it invitations climbers from internationally.
