Edmonton Elks sign American linebacker Mar’quess Daniels – Edmonton

The Edmonton Elks made two roster strikes Wednesday with one participant coming in and one other on the way in which out.

The crew signed American linebacker Mar’quess Daniels whereas releasing Canadian defensive again Josh Woodman, who performed seven video games for the Elks final season.

Daniels joins involves northern Alberta after enjoying school soccer at Central Methodist College in Fayette, Mo.

A Connecticut native, Daniels performed in college from 2019 to 2021, accumulating 149 whole tackles and 12 sacks throughout his time there.

Woodman is a veteran of 49 profession CFL common season video games, with 52 whole tackles with one interception and one pressured fumble.

The Ontario-born participant was chosen forty fourth general within the 2016 CFL Draft by Edmonton. The previous second crew All-Canadian went on to play with Edmonton from 2016 to 2018, earlier than spending one season with the B.C Lions in 2019.
