Dayton announces death of Jayda Grant, daughter of Anthony Grant
The College of Dayton introduced the dying of Jayda Grant, daughter of head basketball coach Anthony Grant on Friday. Jayda was 20.
Dayton president Dr. Eric Spina and vp/director of athletics Neil Sullivan launched an announcement Friday, saying the neighborhood is experiencing “devastating heartbreak” following Jayda’s dying.
Dr. Spina and Sullivan prolonged their “deepest sympathies” to Anthony and the Grant household.
Jayda was listed as a member of the Dayton observe. She didn’t compete in occasions as a freshman through the indoor season. The outside season in 2020 and the indoor season in 2021 have been canceled as a result of COVID-19.
The Grant household is asking for donations to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in lieu of flowers.
