David Velasco introduces a project by Nikita Kadan
IN THE EARLY HOURS OF FEBRUARY 24, Vladimir Putin ordered Russian troops to invade and conquer Ukraine, dramatically escalating the eight-year-old Russo-Ukrainian struggle, main Europe to its largest army battle since World Struggle II.
When the explosions started, the artist and activist Nikita Kadan was in Kyiv, town the place he was born and nonetheless lives. He discovered refuge within the Voloshyn Gallery, an underground area that functioned as a bomb shelter over the last world struggle and is now serving that goal as soon as once more.
