From a shy child fox to toads donning crowns, the felted miniatures crafted by Simon Brown and Katie Corrigan are cute, whimsical renditions of forest creatures. The Northumbria, U.Okay.-based artistic duo transforms thick rovings of wool into wildlife that may be discovered perching on a snowy department or creeping up on a mouse by way of the grass-like bristles of a wood brush. Brown tells Colossal that he plans to include extra discovered objects into the newer sculptures, that are more and more illustrative in model, and can be engaged on growing automata so as to add a liveliness to the practical characters.
