CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A coroner’s inquest into the demise of a person who was in custody on the provincial jail is scheduled to start on Monday, Nov. 27.
Initially from Shoe Cove, N.L., Kenneth George Hoddinott was 47 years previous when he was discovered unresponsive on the P.E.I. Provincial Correctional Centre on Dec. 16, 2021. The reason for Hoddinott’s demise has to this point been attributed to a “cardiac occasion.” The inquest into Hoddinott’s demise was first introduced in January 2022.
Presiding over the inquest will likely be Chief Coroner Dr. Brandon Webber. Crown legal professional Jeff MacDonald has been tasked with presenting proof. Two days have been put aside for the inquest, which is being held on the Sir Louis Henry Davies Regulation Courts on Water Road in Charlottetown.
