City of Charlottetown to annex seven Marshfield properties
The Metropolis of Charlottetown has been accredited by the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission to proceed with annexing seven Marshfield properties that don’t have native authorities or municipal providers.
The town introduced the approval on June 2 and mentioned the request was issued to IRAC after the Marshfield residents contacted Charlottetown and requested town to develop its boundaries to incorporate the seven government-less properties.
The annexation approval got here into impact on June 1.
Officers mentioned the seven properties, which include six parcels of land and one portion of a parcel totalling 116.3 acres, will likely be supported by municipal providers within the coming months.
Municipal property taxes will likely be transitioned over the subsequent 4 years, starting in 2023.
The town is at the moment creating a plan to implement these providers.
