CIRA awards digital literacy, infrastructure, and cybersecurity projects $1.25 million
The Canadian Web Registration Authority (CIRA) has awarded 16 recipients $1.35 million by its Group Funding Program.
The grant, run by the not-for-profit that manages the .ca area, funds group web tasks.
This 12 months, funding went in direction of Indigenous, northern, and pupil tasks specializing in digital literacy, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
“The tasks funded showcase the management, ingenuity and foresight of communities throughout the nation, and we look ahead to seeing the optimistic impacts they may have on Canada’s digital panorama,” Byron Holland, CIRA’s president and CEO, stated.
Initiatives from all three of the nation’s northern territories acquired funding, together with tasks in Alberta, B.C., Ontario, Quebec, and for the primary time, Prince Edward Island.
The undertaking in that province, the Cybersafe Islanders undertaking, addresses cybersafety considerations amongst youth.
A whole checklist of undertaking descriptions is on the market on CIRA’s website.
