Charlottetown police name new deputy chief

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Jennifer McCarron has been formally named the deputy chief of Charlottetown Police Companies.
At a latest assembly of the protecting and emergency providers committee, Mayor Philip Brown and different members of the committee congratulated McCarron on her place as considered one of two deputy chiefs of police. Sean Coombs is the opposite one.
McCarron had been serving within the position as interim deputy chief for the previous few years, changing Brad MacConnell, who was promoted to chief after the retirement of Paul Smith in 2021.
Earlier than changing into interim deputy chief, McCarron was promoted to sergeant, in command of the patrol part. That place opened up after Sgt. Chris Watts was promoted to skilled requirements officer.
