CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 62-year-old Charlottetown man has been charged with assault after a public assembly turned violent on July 19.

Video taken by the general public reveals P.E.I. Housing Minister Rob Lantz was shoved by a person on the public assembly, which came about on the Confederation Centre’s Memorial Corridor.

Charlottetown police stated following an investigation into the altercation, the person has been charged with one single rely of assault.

The accused has been launched on circumstances to don’t have any contact with the sufferer.

The person will seem in Charlottetown provincial court docket at a later date.
