Canadian Snowbird aircraft ‘incident’ reported at northern B.C. airport

First responders had been referred to as to the North Peace Regional Airport in Fort St. John, B.C., on Tuesday afternoon to reply to what officers are describing as an “aviation incident.”

In a social media publish, the Fort St. John Worldwide Air Present stated the plane went down throughout takeoff.

Canadian Armed Forces Public Affairs Officer Main Trevor Reid confirmed Tuesday an incident occurred involving a Snowbird plane.

He stated two Snowbirds had been on the town for the air present over the weekend.

Reid stated it is too early to say what brought on the incident and an investigation is underway. It is unclear how lengthy the investigation will take, however he stated the outcomes could be made public.
