Canada’s girls’s eight rowing staff will likely be bringing residence medals from the ultimate World Rowing occasion of the season, in Lucerne, Switzerland, on Sunday.

The Canadian staff of Cassidy Deane, Morgan Rosts, Sydney Payne, Alexis Cronk, Kirsten Edwards, Jessica Sevick, Gabrielle Smith, Avalon Wasteneys, and coxswain Kristen Equipment completed second within the ‘A’ ultimate. The Canadian crew accomplished the race in a time of six minutes, 8.09 seconds.

The Canadians’ time was one-tenth of a second sooner than Romania, who took bronze.

Australia gained the ultimate in a time of 6:06.51.

Payne, Wasteneys and Equipment had been a part of the Canadian crew who gained Olympic gold at Tokyo 2020
