California ISO says forecasted power loads could hit new highs amid heatwave
(Reuters) – Report-breaking temperatures are resulting in excessive forecasted demand for energy in California, which could possibly be the best since 2006.
“Forecasted masses are presently very excessive immediately and tomorrow, with Tuesday displaying peak demand at 51,145 megawatts (MW), which might set a brand new file from the earlier excessive of fifty,270 MW in 2006,” California Impartial System Operator (ISO) stated in an announcement.
