Biden says U.S. struck Iran-linked targets in Syria to disrupt attacks

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. air strikes this week in opposition to Iran-linked targets in Syria have been carried out to guard and defend American personnel and disrupt a collection of assaults in opposition to the USA and its companions, President Joe Biden mentioned on Thursday.
In a letter to U.S. Home of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Biden mentioned he ordered the Tuesday strikes “according to my accountability to guard United States residents each at residence and overseas and in furtherance of United States nationwide safety and international coverage pursuits.”
