CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Easter Seals P.E.I. has chosen twin sisters from Eliot River College in Cornwall because the group’s 2023 ambassadors.
Katelyn and Meghan Rogers, 10, are in Grade 5 and have been impressed by 2022 ambassador Vaeda Zo Matheson, who held the function for a record-breaking three years.
The sisters have cerebral palsy and have overcome many challenges, together with corrective spinal surgical procedure in 2019 that required intense bodily remedy and months of post-operative recuperation.
The 2 are concerned in extracurricular actions like dancing classes and wheelchair basketball, which they began earlier this yr, and use assistive units to assist with their mobility.
The duo’s motto for the 2023 marketing campaign is “consider in your self and don’t hand over.”
Easter Seals P.E.I. govt director Kelly Mullaly stated the ambassador function is the heartbeat of the group.
