B.C. district issues evacuation order as aggressive Keremeos Creek fire grows in size

An evacuation order has been issued by the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen for communities within the neighborhood of the Keremeos Creek wildfire, which was found Friday.

The order covers Inexperienced Mountain Street between Hwy. 3A to the south, Apex Mountain Street to the north and within the basic neighborhood of Ford Lake.

The reason for the blaze has not been decided, and the BC Wildfire Service says it’s displaying “aggressive” and “erratic” behaviour.
