2 arrested, $21K in drugs seized from vehicle on King Street: London, Ont. police – London

Two males have been arrested after officers in London, Ont., carried out a search on Thursday night that yielded greater than $21,000 value of medicine, police mentioned.

The search was carried out by officers with the police service’s Weapons and Gangs Part, in addition to officers with the Emergency Response Unit.

Police say they searched a car parked on King Road, however no additional particulars in regards to the location of the car had been offered.

An unspecified amount of money was seized throughout the search, together with a loaded nine-millimetre Taurus G2c handgun, based on police.

As for the medication, police say officers seized 72 grams value of suspected fentanyl valued at $18,000, 37 grams value of suspected methamphetamine valued at $3,700, and 13 Dilaudid tablets (8-mg tablets) valued at $65.

Two London males, aged 29 and 37, have been collectively charged with three counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the aim of trafficking.

The 29-year-old can also be charged with 5 extra firearm-related offences.

The 2 males had been scheduled to seem in court docket Friday.

Police added that the investigation that led to their arrest was made attainable by a grant from Ontario’s Ministry of the Solicitor Basic.
