Ashley Clark named new CUPE P.E.I. president

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Ashley Clark can be taking the reigns as the brand new president of CUPE P.E.I.

Clark was elected to the place on the forty third CUPE P.E.I. annual basic assembly and can start her two-year appointment beginning Monday, June 5.

Since 2015, Clark has been closely concerned with the union and beforehand served as president of Native 1870, which represents UPEI assist workers, with a robust dedication to safeguarding public providers from privatization and selling fairness.

“I’m honoured to have been elected because the president of CUPE P.E.I.,” stated Clark.
