Apple drops mask requirements for most of its corporate workers – The Verge

(Reuters) – Apple Inc is dropping its masks mandate for company staff at most places, the Verge reported on Monday, citing an inside memo. (https://bit.ly/3oJ3EQN)

This comes whilst COVID-19 infections in the US have been on the rise with the BA.4 and BA.5 subvariants of the Omicron variant accounting for greater than 90% of infections, in accordance with the U.S. Facilities for Illness Management and Prevention.

These subvariants have important mutations from the earliest variations of Omicron and safety from vaccines wanes over time.

“Do not hesitate to proceed carrying a face masks in the event you really feel extra comfy doing so,” the report quoted Apple as saying within the inside e-mail. “Additionally, please respect each particular person’s choice to put on a masks or not.”

Apple didn’t instantly reply to Reuters’ request for remark outdoors common enterprise hours.
