Aer Lingus restores IT system after cancelling 51 flights

DUBLIN (Reuters) -Aer Lingus stated it had resolved an IT drawback that led it to cancel 51 flights between Dublin airport and different European locations on Saturday as check-in and boarding was disrupted.

The Irish service, owned by London-listed IAG, stated “a significant incident with a community supplier” meant it couldn’t entry its cloud-based programs, leaving a whole lot of passengers stranded outdoors the nation’s fundamental airport.

“Aer Lingus sincerely apologises to prospects for the extreme disruption prompted right now,” it stated in a press release, including its operations for Sunday had been deliberate to run as regular.
