Intel becomes latest Western tech firm to suspend business in Russia
(Reuters) -U.S. chipmaker Intel Corp stated on Tuesday it has suspended enterprise operations in Russia, becoming a member of a slew of corporations to exit the nation following its invasion of Ukraine.
The corporate, which had final month suspended shipments to clients in Russia and Belarus, stated it has applied enterprise continuity measures to reduce disruption to its international operations.
“Intel continues to hitch the worldwide neighborhood in condemning Russia’s warfare in opposition to Ukraine and calling for a swift return to peace,” the corporate stated.
Worldwide Enterprise Machines Corp too had suspended shipments as Ukraine urged U.S. cloud-computing and software program corporations to chop off enterprise with Russia.
