EU urges Russia to respect obligations under international law on Ukraine

BRUSSELS (Reuters) – European Union leaders urged Russia on Friday to completely respect its obligations beneath worldwide legislation and abide by current order by worldwide courtroom of justice beneath which informed Russia to withdraw from Ukraine.

“Russia’s struggle of aggression in opposition to Ukraine grossly violates worldwide legislation and is inflicting huge lack of life and harm to civilians,” the leaders of the 27-nation EU mentioned in a joint assertion.

“Russia is directing assaults in opposition to the civilian inhabitants and is concentrating on civilian objects, together with hospitals, medical amenities, colleges and shelters. These struggle crimes should cease instantly,” they mentioned.
