Power outages hit around 1,600 customers in P.E.I. on Aug. 10

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Energy outages hit round 1,600 Maritime Electrical clients in a number of areas of P.E.I. Wednesday.

In a tweet reporting the outages round 11:30 a.m., Maritime Electrical stated affected areas included Bedeque, Chelton, Albany, Fernwood, Middleton and surrounding areas.

The utility’s outage map listed 1,590 clients affected late Wednesday morning.

Maritime Electrical reported energy was restored about half-hour later. 

Energy outages will be reported to Maritime Electrical by calling 1-800-670-1012 or online.
