Obituary: Donald M. Desroches – Lewiston Sun Journal
NEWARK, Del. – Donald M. Desroches was born in Rumford, Maine on Might 9, 1940, and handed away on March 29, 2022 at his residence in Newark, Del. Donald was the primary of two kids of Melvin Desroches and Evelyn Arsenault Desroches. He was preceded in dying by his sister, Ann Therriault.
He was educated at Stephens Excessive Faculty, the College of Maine, and graduated in 1963 from the College of Prince Edward Island. Whereas at Stephens Excessive Faculty he was on the Nationwide Honor Society and a delegate to Dirigo Boys’ State. He excelled in soccer, basketball, and monitor and achieved an All-Maine and All-American standing in soccer. In faculty he continued to excel in soccer and basketball.
After faculty he taught Excessive Faculty English and French in Maine, New York Army Academy, and Sanford Faculty in Delaware. After educating he went into Industrial Portray.
Donald was an avid reader, loved gardening, liked music, and liked spending time with household. One other favourite pastime was going to his grandchildren’s college and sports activities actions. On retiring he was a volunteer tutor at an interior metropolis Wilmington After Faculty Program. He was a loving husband and father and was well-known by many for his heat “bear” hugs.
He’s survived by his spouse of 57 years, Marilyn Kowalzyk Desroches; his three kids, Christine Ruoff ( Mitch), Maria Robinson (Dean), and Peter Desroches (Caroline); and eight grandchildren, Giana Macias (Aaron), Rachel, Marshall, Zachary, Keri, Danielle, Ella and Luke. He’s additionally survived by 4 great-grandchildren, Peyton, Olivia, Isabella, and James.
