8 migrants die trying to cross Rio Grande into Texas: U.S. Border Patrol
At the least eight migrants had been killed as dozens tried a hazardous crossing of the Rio Grande close to Eagle Cross, Texas, officers mentioned Friday.
U.S. Customs and Border Safety (CBP) mentioned it responded to the report Thursday of a giant crossing of the Mexican border within the Rio Grande.
U.S. officers recovered six our bodies, whereas Mexican groups recovered two others, in line with a CBP assertion.
The Border Patrol mentioned U.S. crews rescued 37 migrants from the river and detained 16 others, whereas Mexican officers took 39 migrants into custody. Officers on each side of the border proceed looking for any doable victims, the CBP mentioned.
