3 people escape, 2 cats rescued from Regina house fire on Athol street – Regina
Three folks escaped and two cats have been rescued from a home hearth on Athol Avenue in Regina on Thursday morning.
Based on a Regina Hearth Division tweet, the fireplace was reported at 3:54 a.m. on the 1500 block of Athol Avenue and firefighters managed the blaze after contending with heavy smoke.
“Three folks have been handled and transferred to hospital and two cats have been rescued,” said RFD. “The (three) occupants managed to flee the fireplace previous to arrival.”
RFD said the occupants have been handled for burn accidents. The hearth inspector was in attendance and Regina hearth says the fireplace was contained to the principle ground. The hearth is below investigation.
