Legault criticized for calling Liberal leader Dominique Anglade ‘that lady’ as election campaign starts
Coalition Avenir Quebec (CAQ) Chief Francois Legault is being criticized for referring to Liberal Chief Dominique Anglade as “that woman” on Day 1 of the provincial election marketing campaign.
Legault was requested by reporters throughout his first marketing campaign cease to answer claims by Anglade, who mentioned Quebec’s financial system is struggling.

He responded that Quebec’s financial development is doing higher than Ontario’s, including that he didn’t know why “that woman” says the province isn’t doing effectively.
Anglade tweeted shortly after, “My title is Dominique.”
The CAQ chief’s feedback had been criticized by opposition events and pundits, in addition to on social media.

Legault, who referred to the Liberal chief by title later whereas taking questions in English, says he omitted Anglade’s title as a result of he didn’t wish to “personalize” the talk.
