Video: Micayla Gatto & Steffi Marth’s Atlantic Canada Roadtrip

THE STORY
For us, Europeans travelling to Canada for Mountain Biking sometimes means British Columbia locations solely. My solely exception to date was the World Cups and World Champs in Mont Sainte Anne, Quebec. I used to be stunned that it´s truly comparable for my dearest Canadian buddy Micayla whose life objective (one among many ;-)) was to drive throughout Canada. With virtually 10 million sq. meters, Canada is sort of as massive as all of Europe mixed. Micayla lives on the very fringe of the West Coast of Vancouver Island close to the surf city of Tofino, virtually 5,000 kilometres from the place our journey would start. A reasonably badass drive for those who ask me, however she was prepared to deal with it in her massive purple Bronco and began this journey per week sooner than I did. Flying from Germany, she picked me up on the Quebec Metropolis Airport to depart on our journey throughout Atlantic Canada.
We visited the 4 Atlantic provinces: Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and completed in New Brunswick. We travelled by ferry and drove 1000’s of miles between path networks and even caught a couple of hidden gems alongside the best way. From getting caught in a hurricane whereas visiting Prince Edward Island to having fun with an epic sundown within the mountains of the West Coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, to crashing in a tiny house with a non-public path in Nova Scotia to using a Whistler Bike Park-like Leap Path in New Brunswick are only a pattern of unforgettable reminiscences from this journey.
