Born in Florence, Cape Breton on August 7, 1931 to the late Roderick Francis and Mary Florence (Hoskins) MacInnis, Dad lived his early childhood there earlier than transferring to George’s River. On the younger age of 13 Dad left college and started delivering ice for Allen’s Ice Home in North Sydney.
