P.E.I. gets B+ on gender equality report card
CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The P.E.I. Advisory Council on the Standing of Girls is giving the province a B+ for its progress on gender equality.
Launched on March 24, the 2022 Equality Report Card assesses actions taken by the Dennis King authorities because it was first elected in 2019 and is predicated on studies from authorities applications to March 31, 2021.
Cathy Rose, chair of the P.E.I. Advisory Council on the Standing of Girls, stated it’s the highest grade the province has acquired because the first pilot report was launched in 2008.
