One dead following house fire in Alexandra, P.E.I.

ALEXANDRA, P.E.I. — Police are investigating a home fireplace in Alexandra on Dec. 14 after human stays have been discovered within the particles.

Round 7 p.m., Queens District RCMP obtained a name from a bystander who observed a home on MacLennan Street was on fireplace.

Const. Gavin Moore, media relations officer for RCMP P.E.I., mentioned when police and fireplace companies arrived on the scene, the home was totally engulfed.

Moore mentioned as soon as the fireplace was extinguished, human stays have been discovered inside the construction.

“We don’t at the moment have info that anybody else was within the residence (on the time,)” he mentioned.

Moore mentioned the reason for the fireplace continues to be unknown and the fireplace is just not deemed suspicious at the moment.

He mentioned police are nonetheless gathering proof because the investigation continues to be ongoing.
