French minister Beaune: EU deal on Russian oil ban could be reached this week

PARIS (Reuters) – French European Affairs Minister Clement Beaune mentioned European Union members may attain a deal this week on the EU Fee’s proposal to ban all oil imports from Russia.
“I believe we may strike a deal this week,” Beaune informed LCI tv, including that French President Emmanuel Macron was attributable to discuss to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban later within the day.
Hungary is probably the most vocal critic of this deliberate embargo on Russian oil.
European Fee President Ursula von der Leyen mentioned on Monday she had made progress in talks with Viktor Orban on this challenge. [nA5N2VD02J
