Charlottetown man arrested after robbery at University Avenue business

A 31-year-old man has been charged following a theft Friday night at a enterprise on College Avenue, Charlottetown police say.

Police mentioned the person entered the institution with a pair of scissors in his hand at 6:15 p.m. He approached the money register, took cash out of the until and left with none interplay with employees.

Nobody was injured, however employees had been shaken by the incident.

Video surveillance footage was used to determine a suspect, and a Charlottetown resident was positioned and arrested on Saturday night. He is been charged with theft and breach of probation.

The person is in custody and can seem in P.E.I. Provincial Court docket on Thursday.
