Atlantic health ministers meet in Charlottetown



CHARLOTTETOWN, N.L. — Well being ministers from Atlantic Canada met in Charlottetown on Monday to debate well being priorities in an effort to deal with health-care points all through the area.

P.E.I. Well being Minister Ernie Hudson chaired the assembly and was joined by Nova Scotia Well being Minister Michelle Thompson, Newfoundland and Labrador Well being Minister Tom Osborne and Lee Burry, the assistant deputy well being minister for New Brunswick.

Throughout the assembly, ministers heard from teams, together with the Canadian Medical Affiliation, the Medical Society of P.E.I. and the P.E.I. Faculty of Physicians and Surgeons. Additionally they talked about frequent licensing inside the area, mobility of physicians and nurses and lowering boundaries for certifying foreign-trained staff.

Hudson famous that every one 4 provinces are dealing with comparable health-care challenges.
